hey there,
i had all over platinum hair and i decided to an add dark-blonde framing my face. i ended with a quite golden-brown and as my bf said i look like a punk. it was a non-permanent dye, which should hold 24 hairwashs. buut i was crying and i thought i'm looking like shit right now and so just at this moment i'm bleaching this shit out.
my question: i think the dark-brown will turn out orange after bleaching - will the rest of the color fade like it should or do i have to lighten it again?

Okay, so I've tried becoming a redhead through store-bought dyes but of course none of them worked, actually one of them darkened my hair and added a subtle tint of red/purple but that's not what I want. I want an over-all noticeable darkish auburn redhead (not copper-ish), but nothing too bright because I have semi-tan/olive skin. I'm originally a dark brunette, by the way. ( wishful thinking )

Hey I haven't posted on here for years. I had a personal picture day today, I'll share. I change my haircolor a lot but I always seem to go back to this dark brown. I can't tell if it's warm or cool because I mix them.

so i kind of took it a little further than i originally intended this morning, but i decided to rinse the left over blue black over my hair while rinsing the black out, so the pourous parts of my blonde would soak up a little of the blue to counter act any orange. typically when i do this, the blue only lasts for a few washes and the blonde shows right through, but it's fun and pretty for the time it lasts.

Can anyone help me out? I am looking for a photo of a girl with a mohawk-type haircut. I wouldn't want to spike or gel the mohawk, I would just want it a bit longer in the middle with not completely shaved sides. Also, I would like the middle to swipe down into bangs with sort of a wave. I am thinking about cutting my hair like this in a few months but I don't know how to explain it very well and I want photos to visualize it more. Thanks in advance!

As you can see, my blonde roots are coming in pretty horribly, while the rest of my hair remains a medium brown (picture taken in harsh sunlight). I've been trying to grow out my hair since August and I don't want to cause a lot of damage, so what can I do to get out the brown? I've used Color Oops twice, so that's out, and I'm guessing that I've got to go the route of bleaching. Has anyone tried or had luck with Wella Wellite cream lightener?
Or is there anything you fellow MRHers suggest? I plan on taking a trip to Sally's later on this evening. Thank you in advance.

So for the first time everrrr I will be able to dye my hair an unnatural color! (12 years of catholic school and 6 years of working in fine dinning) Only for about 2 months though, my job is seasonal and we are closing for the winter. I wanna make the most out of it!

I'm just interested to see if any of you do and what your experiences are with it.
I tried it once but it made my hair feel like I washed it with bar soap.

picked up some teal today just to play around before i really change it up.
i like the color a lot, so when i need to touch up my new growth in the next few weeks, i'm going to brighten all of my blonde, darken the dark around my face to a cool dark brown (and do less of it) and do maybe just a bit more teal.
i really am not a fan of the teal next to the dark reddish blonde, but that will be fixed soon.

First, Has anyone ever used a banana mask for their hair? what were your results?
Second, my hair was bright red, it's faded a considerable amount, I'm thinking about just letting it fade out into the natural red color and then dying it a dark blonde.
Third, does anyone have any tips for getting short hair to look GOOD curly/wavy. I have an and my natural hair is really curly, but due to chemical damage and it being short, it's not completely curly anymore. I was thinking about investing in the 3 barrel waver iron but I'm not sure how retarded it may actually look.

Hello lovelies.
I posted here a while back, with a timelineish thing and a desperate plea for ideas. I'm pretty sure I'm going to to try to get back to my natural color, but I still can't quite decide on a cut. I've been looking at pictures obsessively ever since, and trying to find something I like. I really want to get my hair dealt with this week before I have choir concerts and have to look presentable.
So now it's time for you guys to weigh in again!

Unfortunately with our last release, and its instability, we were forced to roll back releases. Unfortunately in doing so, it would seem that our notification system has been broken somehow. Our engineers are working on this issue as quickly as possible. We hope to have a patch within the next day, so we can deploy our code and fix the notification system at the same time. Please *bear* with us ;)
Currently all notifications are being queued up so they can be processed as soon as the fix is pushed and verified to be working correctly.

You may remember me posting back in May when I cut my hair off into a shaggy pixie (see below). Aside from a few trims to try and even out the back, I haven't had a major cut since. I'm joining the Navy, so I'm growing my hair out, but I'm getting tired of its current blandness. The brown is kind of boring, and the style is heinous. Any ideas for colors and styles? Cuts? I'm open to all opinions, but I can't do any unnatural colors! haha. TIA! Have a great day & Stay warm!

If you don’t shape up, I really will cut you. Don’t think I won’t. I’ve been trying to grow you out, with the decent intention of donating ten inches of you again to somebody who needs the coverage more than I need the length, but you’ve been big and bushy and unmanageable for two weeks now and much as I love Hermione Granger, I don’t want to channel her through the mop of hair on my head!
I need at least a trim, in any case. Maybe I’ll just freshen up the layers and maybe I’ll chop it. I'm really split 50-50 on it, so suggestions are appreciated.
I last posted here six months ago or so and my hair hasn’t changed dramatically since then. My hair is—as you’ll be able to tell immediately—long, wavy, wild and undisciplined. I spend about two minutes on it every morning and that’s it—no hairspray, no curling irons, no time!! I have a tall German forehead, a long long nose, and my skull is weirdly long from front to back, so I’m afraid a short haircut might make my head look like one long rectangle from the side, so those are things to consider, too. I'm also about to graduate from university in two weeks, so I'd like to look like a classy but mature young lady, not like a high schooler :-)
Here is the crazy hair itself: wavy, wild and undisciplined. But I like all the yellows in this picture.

Hey! So I want a change, a BIG change. My hair, at the moment is like a mahogany red colour, but I want to go something reeeeeally different.
Im thinking fire engine red or pink, but im open to any other ideas! I would prefer one colour though, having mor colour in my hair at once would be too hard to upkeep, I think.

since i am ridiculous and cant seem to settle on one hair color, i've realized today that while i've been doing a good job at keeping my hair color looking semi-normal, i haven't been getting the same attention that my hair has brought me in "edgier" days.
this attention is great for me because i become a walking billboard. each time i went out to the bar, 9 times out of 10, someone would ask me where i get my hair done. i would proceed to tell that person that i am a stylist and do my own, and then hand over my buisness card and it actually works! quite a few of my clients became loyal to me after a single night out.
because my hair is pretty typical now, i don't get the same reaction from others, so i'm thinking about putting the pink back in and continuing on this platinum blonde kick.

I want to keep it around the same length since I am trying to grow out my hair but I want something a bit less plain and boring but nothing too extreme/drastic.

So I just got out of my first relationship, which was three years long, and long distance, so I'm needing a change. I can't get another piercing, and I can't get another tattoo, so I'm settling for my hair.
I actually went to get it cut last week, but honestly, the cut is terrible. It looked good when my stylist did it up with this magic japanese powder that works like hairspray, but after that it really just looked like my old hair, but with really bad layers.
More or less, my natural 'black' with faded lighter brown highlights...which all look 'black' now.

It started out looking magenta,but faded to a red for a few months, then eventually copper. Personally, I liked it.

You may remember me posting earlier about whether or not to keep my short, pink hair or dye it back to my natural and grow it.
Here it is
I decided on option 2, so I went ahead and got some dye and did it myself.
I never go to a salon for anything but cuts.
Anyway, I got a dye very different from my natural VERY dark brown, almost black, hair. It was this:
L'Oreal Paris Light Reddish Brown Excellence Creme.

(the curls aren't natural- naturally it's thick & a little wavy. actually, the color isn't natural either, but I'm not going back to my natural color anyway!) I've been the same shade of blonde for 2 years now, and I'm getting really tired of it. It always fades within a few weeks it seems like, and I'm tired of dealing with my roots. I want to go to a shade of brown or maybe a reddish-blonde color, but I'm nervous.

Also, what have your results been with living proof products? Do they really work as well as they claim? My hair is naturally frizzy and I've tried almost everything to get it to calm down, but it always remains somewhat frizzy.
